This exciting tour trek the highlights of the Torres del Paine National Park Circuit with optional trekking and climbing session on ones of the world biggest glacier surface, the Southern Ice Cap.
Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1 Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales. A KL Expedition Guide will meet you at the Punta Arenas airport and immediately transfer to Puerto Natales, a three-hour drive through the Patagonian pampa. Lodging in Puerto Natales at hostal Concepto Indigo or Terra Lodge, dinner and meeting to discuss trip program. Hotel. Transfer time 152 miles / 246 kms / 3 hours
Day 2 puerto Natales - Hosteria grey - camp grey
Transfer by van to Torres del Paine National Park. This 2.5 hours journey through ranch country includes a stop in cerro Castillo, the principal site of wool and meat exportation to Europe during the 1960's. we arrive directly at Hostyeria Lago Grey situated on the southern border of lake Grey to start our 3 hours navigation to the grey camp while enjoying the most splendid views ot the grey glacier. In the afternoon we will make a short hike to two different viewpoint to have a closer look at the glacier and see the southern ice cap. Tent for the night. (transfer 85.5 miles / 138km. 2 ½ hours. Navigation time 3 hours. Trekking time 1,5 miles / 2 km.
Day 3 Camp grey - Camp Pehoe
Before we continue our journey to Pehoe camp we have an option to make an easy mini trekking to glacier grey in the morning. An extraordinary experience! In the afternoon we'll reach pehoe camp after 3-4 hours walking on easy terrain with splendid view on lake Grey and its glaciers. Tent. Trekking time. 6 ¼ miles / 10km. 4 hours.
Day 4 Pehoe - French Valley - Refugio Los Cuernos. Trek to the French Valley the most beautiful in the park and one of the most unique in the world, is surrounded by hanging glaciers and an amphitheater of granite walls and spires. Afterward, we will trek to the extraordinary turquoise Lake Nordenskjold and stop at the magical refuge Los Cuernos for dinner and rest time. Trekking time Shealter. 15.8 miles / 26 kms / 9 hours.
Day 5 Refugio Los Cuernos - Hostería Las Torres. Trek along Lake Nordenskjold and below the hanging glaciers of Mount Admiral Nieto, to refugio el Chileno in valley Ascencio. Tent. Trekking time 8 ¾ miles / 16 kms / 5 hours
Day 6 Camp el Chileno - Hostería Las Torres - Torres del Paine Viewpoint - Puerto Natales. Today we are finishing the circuit with a hike to the base of the spectacular three granite towers that made the park famous: Torre D`Agostini also name as Torre Sur 2850 mts. Torre Central 2800 mts and Torre Norte also name as Torre Monzino 2600 mts. On the way down to Hosteria Las Torres We will make a stop at the Refugio Chileno to have lunch and enjoy the spectacular scenery at this Ascensio valley. From Hosteria Las torres our private transport will take us back to Puerto natales to hostal concepto Indigo or Aquaterra lodge for a final group dinner. Hotel Trekking time 7.3 miles / 12 kms/ 6 hour. Transfer time 85.5 miles / 138 kms / 2 ½ hours.
Day 7 Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas. Transfer to Punta Arenas to connect flight out. Transfer time 152 miles / 246 kms / 3 hours
