Tour Description:
Enjoy ski touring in one of the most exciting environments in South America, Chile. Skiing a variety of areas ranging from the Aconcagua Valley to the doorsteps of Chilean Patagonia. The program includes ski touring on the region's most spectacular volcanoes, such as the Nevado de Longaví (2,232m), Lonquimay (2,890m), Llaima (2,125m), Villarrica (2,830m) and Osorno (2,652m).
ITINERARY:
Day1, Picked up at airport, guided tour of Santiago. Night in Hotel.
Day 2,Transport to Linares where we head for the Las Mulas, 780m.( 2 hrs ) area of the Andean range. Full day of travel. Night in Lodge.
Day 2, Travel on horseback or foot ( 6 hrs ) to the base camp Laguna Los patos ( alt: 1500m. ). Night in tent.
Day 3, Ski ascent and descent of salsburgo 2,220 m. ( 2 hrs climb ). Night in tents.
Day 5, Ascent of Longavi 2,232m. ( 3 hrs climb). Night in tents.
Day 6, Travel back to trail head at Las Mulas for the night. Night in lodge.
Day 7, Transfer to Linares in 2 hrs then to Manzanares 5 hrs. Night in hotel
Day 8, Climb and ski Lonquimay Volcanoe 2,890m. starting at 1600m. ( 2 hrs climb ). Night in hotel.
Day 9, Ascent of Llaima volcanoe 2,170m. starting at 1100m.
( 6hrs climb ). Night in hotel.
Day 10, Climb and descend the active Villarrica volcanoe, a 2,860 meter peak in the lovely Pucón area. Starting at 1300m. ( 3 hrs climb ) Afternoon at the local hot springs. Night in Hotel
Day 11, Transport to the area of Ensenada ( 5 hrs ) in the heart of the Lake District. Night in Hotel
Day 12, Ascent of Osorno volcanoe, 2,652m. starting at 1300m. ( 3 hrs climb ). Night in Hotel
Day 12, Transfer to Puerto Montt the gateway of Patagonia ( 2 hrs )
Day 13, Rest day, return flight to Santiago. Connecting flight to Us.
